In Depth

With sophisticated technology and simple, minimalist lines, the Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic (PAM00943) is the synthesis of historical and contemporary reference. The model, created by the Panerai Manufacture in Neuchâtel, has the Luminor case 45 mm in diameter, an anthracite dial and the advanced technology of the P.4001 automatic calibre with which it’s fitted. The Luminor Due case of the model, in AISI 316L stainless steel, includes in its thickness of a few millimetres the fascination of the history of every Panerai watch, with its clean lines and the characteristic bridge device which protects the winding crown. The anthracite dial, with small seconds counter and date, has the classic Panerai design and a satiné soleil finish which endows this very elegant watch with a decidedly sporty spirit. The sandwich structure of the dial, with its two superimposed discs containing the luminous beige substance of the hour markers, makes it extremely legible. The Luminor Due 3 Days Automatic (PAM00943) has a power reserve indicator. it is circular and positioned on the back. The movement can be admired through the sapphire crystal porthole in the back. The movement is 13¾ lignes in size and has an off-centred micro-rotor made of tungsten – a material chosen for its high specific weight – and two spring barrels. The balance oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and it is firmly fixed in position by a bridge with twin supports, which help to make the structure of the calibre strong and reliable. The useful seconds reset mechanism stops the balance and zeroes the seconds hand when the time is adjusted, so that the watch can be accurately synchronised. The Luminor Due watch is supplied with a brown alligator strap with contrasting beige stitching and is water-resistant to 3 bar (a depth of about 30 metres).
