9 January, 2012A NEW, ZERO-IMPACT MANUFACTURE
The new Officine Panerai Manufacture, to be inaugurated in 2013, will boast a 10,000 m2 surface area and feature not only production lines equipped with the latest in modern technology, but also spaces dedicated to prototyping, production, assembly and the rigorous quality-control of parts, movements and cases. The new headquarters will be in Pierre-à-Bot, in the highlands of Neuchâtel, certifying the Florentine brand as one of the most important names in luxury sport watchmaking. The interior of the spacious new building will hold an Idea Laboratory, an area dedicated to the research and development that make up the innovative drive behind Panaerai. Research into materials, the study and design of new movements, quality and creativity are the key demands of a brand whose history and origins are permeated by the need to constantly surpass itself. The new Manufacture will be zero-impact in terms of carbon dioxide production thanks to the thorough integration of technology aimed at recuperating and recycling resources, emission-reduction systems, totally renewable electrical energy and a policy of eco-friendly travel for employees.
