7 March, 2016OFFICINE PANERAI CELEBRATES ITS BOUTIQUE IN SEOUL WITH A GRAND OPENING
The celebration of the new boutique opening in South Korea was an exclusive evening at the residence of the Italian Embassy in Seoul hosted by Mr. Angelo Bonati, Chief Executive Officer of Officine Panerai, with Italian Ambassador Marco Della Seta as special guest. Ties to Officine Panerai’s Italian roots were further enhanced by an exceptional meal by renowned 3 Michelin-starred chef Umberto Bombana. During the evening, a watchmaker from Officine Panerai’s manufacture in Neuchatel, Switzerland, gave a live performance of dismantling and assembling the P. 2005 in-house movement in a demonstration of the brand’s outstanding technical expertise. In addition, guests were also invited to view the brand new novelties from 2016 Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie 2016, including the Lo Scienziato Luminor 1950 Tourbillon GMT Titanio - 47mm fitted with the skeletonized P.2005/T in-house movement with tourbillon regulator which is, for the first time, made of titanium. Housed in an area of 40 square metres, the new Seoul boutique is situated in the COEX mall, one of the world’s largest shopping malls, in the Samsung-Dong district. Patricia Urquiola, the Italian-based Spanish designer has reinterpreted the aesthetic and technical codes of the brand in a timeless design that reflects modern elements as well as a homage to its Italian heritage.
