THE P.2005/MR PANERAI MOVEMENT
The Minute Repeater Carillon is an entirely mechanical system of great complexity which chimes the hours, ten-minute periods and minutes on demand. These various indications are obtained by means of three hammers striking three different sounds: a low one for the hours, an intermediate one for the ten-minute periods and a high one for the minutes. Used in turn, the three notes enable it to chime the ten-minute periods.
PANERAI GOLDTECH
The gold used by Panerai is a special alloy, different from standard gold. Panerai goldtech has a percentage of copper giving the material an intense red hue that is particularly elegant and sophisticated. Platinum is another fundamental element of the Panerai gold alloy, as it helps to prevent the metal from oxidising.
