1943 THE BIRTH OF THE PANERAI MARE NOSTRUM
The first chronograph made by Officine Panerai dates back to 1943, the year in which the prototype of the Mare Nostrum was presented to the deck officers of the Italian Navy. This long experience lives on today in the wide range of Panerai Chronographs, all with designs inspired by the models created in the 1930s and 1940s and enhanced by technical aspects expressed in high quality watchmaking.

PANERAI TITANIUM
Light, strong and hypoallergenic, the remarkable physical, mechanical and corrosion-resistant qualities of titanium have made this metal one of the most valued in fine watchmaking, as well as a material of choice for the military, aeronautical and aerospace industries.
