Panerai's Historical Exhibition“The Depths of Time”Arrives in Seoul
Panerai is pleased to announce the arrival of its historical exhibition,“The Depths of Time,”in Seoul, inviting visitors to discover over 160 years of the Maison's history and watchmaking heritage. Following its global tour from Florence to New York City, Miami, Shanghai, Tokyo, Taipei, and Hong Kong, the exhibition will open to the public in Cheongdam-dong, Seoul, from November 14 to 18, 2026.
Spanning two floors, the exhibition traces Panerai's journey from its Florentine origins and longstanding partnership with the Italian Navy to its emergence as an internationally recognized watchmaker. Through a curated selection of rare archival materials, historic timepieces, technical drawings, and precision instruments, visitors can explore the Maison's maritime heritage and the remarkable history once concealed by military secrecy.
Moving beyond a purely chronological narrative,“The Depths of Time”highlights the pioneering innovations developed to meet the demanding operational requirements of the Italian Navy. From exceptional luminescence and water resistance to robust construction and extended power reserve, the exhibition explores the technical foundations of Panerai's distinctive identity, including the 1956 patent for its iconic crown-protecting bridge.
The exhibition also revisits key milestones, from Panerai's debut in the civilian market in 1993 to its international debut at SIHH in 1998. Connecting past and present, it showcases selected novelties unveiled at Watches & Wonders 2026, demonstrating how the Maison continues to evolve its iconic design codes while remaining true to its heritage.
Alongside the exhibition, visitors can also discover the precision of watchmaking through the Hands Setting Workshop, or explore Panerai's maritime heritage through the Knot Keyring Workshop, inspired by traditional nautical knots. Further details on exhibition visits and workshop reservations are available through the dedicated booking website.
