For the centenary of Panerai’s historic Florence boutique, Luminor 8 Giorni Firenze PAM01734 draws from a rare 1960s ref. 6152/1 prototype held in a private collection. With a unique 'Panerai Firenze' inscription on the dial, its crown protecting bridge features parallel grooves cut into the inner sides facing the crown: a functional solution developed and tested to give divers greater grip and easier access when winding the watch while wearing gloves, under pressure, or in low visibility. Revived in Platinumtech™, this rare detail captures Panerai’s enduring design ethos, shaped by real operational needs, in a 100-piece limited edition.

Engineered for PRECISION
A hand-wound movement with an eight-day power reserve, reflecting a hallmark characteristic of Panerai watches. It has a robust design with a mechanism largely enclosed between two plates, exposing only the balance cock and intermediate wheel. A variable inertia balance wheel allows for precise regulation by adjusting small timing golden screws on its outer diameter. The balance is supported by a traversing bridge for improved chronometric performance. The rigidity of the bridge also helps the escapement maintain performance during shocks.
