Characteristics

The P.2015/T calibre, introduced in 2023, is a new tourbillon with dimensions designed to suit a wider range of wrist sizes. It incorporates Panerai's innovative tourbillon device, patented in 2007, where the tourbillon cage rotates on an axis perpendicular to the balance wheel instead of parallel. Unlike traditional tourbillons, which complete one rotation per minute, Panerai's tourbillon cage completes a rotation every thirty seconds, providing more precise compensation for gravitational effects on the escapement. Weighing just 15.30 grams, the P.2015/T calibre achieves its lightness with bridges made entirely of titanium. It has a power reserve of up to four days, provided by two barrels in series, with the remaining power displayed on a back-side indicator. Additionally, the watch includes a second time zone (GMT function) indicated by a central arrow hand and a 24-hour counter at the 3 o’clock position, which features a day-night indicator.
