Officine Panerai opens its third Japanese boutique in Osaka, the largest city in western Japan and the capital city for business and culture in Kansai area. The Officine Panerai Osaka boutique is located in Shinsaibashi district, where the major luxury brands and department stores are established. By chance or fate, a bridge binds and brings a new chapter to the legend of Panerai in Japan. As the historical watchmaker’s shop on Ponte alle Grazie in Florence in 1860, Shinsaibashi derives from the name of a bridge built in 1622. The boutique is characterized by an Italian design inspired by the sea, the element which has always accompanied the history of Panerai watches. Materials like teak wood and steel, porthole-shaped windows, and sinuous furniture are all reminiscence of the sea. Officine Panerai Osaka boutique features a large wall clock that displays on a grand scale one of the distinctive features of Officine Panerai watches: the “sandwich” structure of the dial, in which two superimposed layers enclose the Super-LumiNova® that forms the markers and numerals. The boutique invites guests to walk up the spiral stairs at the back of the boutique to the VIP Lounge on the second floor. The Lounge, decorated with the inspiration of an elegant sailing yacht, recreates the unique classic Italian style environment and invites clients to discover the exclusive Panerai collections in a sophisticated atmosphere surrounded by the brand’s heritage.
