The Submersible GMT Navy SEALs Afniotech™ Experience Edition PAM01089 represents one of Panerai’s most ambitious explorations of performance-driven watchmaking. Conceived as a professional instrument for extreme environments, the watch pushes the boundaries of underwater resistance and advanced material performance. Its 47 mm case introduces Afniotech™, a metal comprising 95% hafnium and used here for the first time in watchmaking, chosen for strength, corrosion resistance and ability to absorb neutrons. By exploring rare and demanding materials, Panerai continues the mission of developing tool watches designed to perform where conditions are most unforgiving.
