Watches and Wonders 2026

Heritage fuels Performance

At Watches and Wonders 2026, Panerai returns to its natural territory: the underwater world.
Born as a supplier of precision instruments for the Italian Navy, the Maison continues creating watches around one rule - performance must be proven.
This year’s booth turns that philosophy into a walk-through story, moving from water resistance to material research and extended power reserve.
Explore the Virtual Tour of Panerai booth at Watches and Wonders 2026 to discover the novelties, the technical pillars behind them, and the moments of testing that shaped Panerai’s tool watches - then and now.

From Past to Future

Begin where Panerai begins: with function.
Explore Luminor through the case architecture born in the 1960s and still defined by purpose.
Discover New Materials to see how research translates into tangible strength, lightness, and durability.
Continue to Power Reserve, where autonomy evolved from operational need into a defining signature.
Three pillars, one idea: performance shaped by real conditions.

Luminor

Purpose-built since the 1960s

Built around the historic ref. 6152/1 case, this year’s Luminor selection revisits the collection through the lens of functional heritage. Emblematic proportions, Destro construction, vintage cues and contemporary execution come together in a family of tool watches shaped by Panerai’s military past and developed for present-day performance.

A historic case language

The ref. 6152/1 legacy

At the heart of the collection is the architecture derived from the historic ref. 6152/1, a case that helped define the visual identity of Luminor. Its proportions, presence and purpose continue to shape the collection today, offering a direct link between Panerai’s functional origins and a renewed contemporary expression.

From 44 to 47 mm

Heritage in many forms

The collection unfolds through different yet connected interpretations of the Luminor language. From 44 mm to 47 mm sizes, from the Destro construction to the collector-coveted tropical dial, each watch explores a distinct aspect of Panerai’s past while remaining part of one coherent vision shaped by historic function and strong visual continuity.

Details with purpose

Vintage codes, refined

Brunito finishes, period-inspired dial tones and vintage strap construction bring even more depth to the collection’s heritage character. These details pay tribute to the visual world of military instruments and reinforce the identity of Luminor as a tool watch whose design has always been guided by use.

Heritage, elevated

Built for today

While grounded in historic codes, the collection is defined by present-day performance. Extended power reserve, innovative new materials, robust water resistance and contemporary calibres bring new substance to familiar forms. The result is a family of watches that preserves the spirit of early Panerai while answering current expectations in wear and function.

Material Innovation

Strength, lightness, endurance

To operate underwater - resisting pressure, saltwater, and time itself - Panerai has always had to ask a practical question: what should an instrument be made of?
That answer continues to guide the Laboratorio di Idee's pursuit.
Every material innovation is a functional response that delivers tangible benefit on the wrist, developed to increase durability and reliability in demanding conditions.

Materials shaped by function

From heritage to enduring materials

Panerai’s material research is grounded in a long history of watches made for demanding conditions. Alongside titanium and ceramic, Bronzo holds a distinct place in this story: a material that reflects the Maison’s connection to the naval world while bringing its own evolving character over time. Together, these materials show how Panerai’s heritage continues to inform a lasting vocabulary of resistance, identity and use.

Led by Research

Performance through Innovation

Research and development has opened new paths through layering, bonding and surface treatments that transform how materials behave on the wrist. From Carbotech™ to Ti-Ceramitech™, these processes show how Panerai extends the potential of materials through technical development and functional intent.

New frontiers

High-tech materials, firsts for Panerai

Increasingly advanced material expressions mark new steps for the Maison. Forged Titanium and Afniotech™ embody this forward drive, introducing high-tech solutions that open new possibilities in resistance, construction and wear. More than material novelties, they represent how Panerai continues to push its research into forms that answer present needs while expanding what a tool watch can be.

Power Reserve

 From 8 days to 31

For Panerai, extended power reserve began as a functional requirement.
Instruments created for prolonged missions needed autonomy that could support use over time, especially when daily winding was not always practical.
From the historic Angelus 8-day calibre to in-house developments such as the P.2002, this pursuit now reaches a new milestone with 31 days of power reserve.

The functional starting point

When autonomy became essential

In professional use, frequent winding is inconvenient and places repeated stress on the crown, one of the watch's most exposed components, potentially affecting durability and water resistance over time. The adoption of the Angelus 8-day calibre answered that demand, linking autonomy directly to mission conditions and establishing a principle that would remain central to Panerai’s watchmaking.

A legacy that continues

A pursuit carried forward

That early direction continued with Panerai’s in-house calibres, where extended autonomy became a field of ongoing development. Movements such as the P.2002 with an 8-day power reserve translated a historic requirement into contemporary watchmaking, confirming power reserve not simply as a technical feature, but as one of the brand’s most consistent functional commitments.

A new milestone

From 8 to 31 days

With the Luminor 31 Giorni PAM01631, Panerai reaches a new chapter in this story. Powered by the hand-wound P.2031/S calibre, the watch is capable of running for a full month on a single wind. Its patented solutions, including the torque limiter and jumping hour function, show how long-duration performance continues to evolve through contemporary movement development.
