Immersion opens at Museo Marino Marini in Florence

An experiential exhibition that offers a contemporary exploration of the Maison's identity.

Panerai opens Immersion at Museo Marino Marini in Florence from 10 to 19 September 2026, marking the centenary of its historic Florentine boutique with an exhibition that places the Maison’s past in active conversation with the present.

Across five acts, visitors move from the Panerai family’s dual world of boutique and laboratorio to the confidential work undertaken for the Italian Navy; from the underwater conditions that made light, pressure and protection matters of function to the personal challenges of explorers and athletes; and finally to the open sea, where time is measured in a start sequence, a maneuver, a crossing and the horizon ahead.

Archival instruments, documents and watches meet contemporary timepieces, materials and immersive installations. Light, sound, water and movement draw visitors into environments where a watch must do more than mark time: it must orient, endure and keep pace.

At the close of the journey, the Luminor 8 Giorni Firenze in Platinumtech™ and the Luminor 8 Giorni Firenze pay tribute to the boutique’s centenary, bringing a rare 1960s prototype into the present.
