The Luminor Tourbillon PAM01784 brings one of watchmaking’s defining high complications into Panerai’s world of purposeful design. Within its 47mm titanium case, the blue P.2005/T calibre is brought into full view: a historically patented 30-second tourbillon, 6 Days power reserve and GMT Traveler are designed for performance, readability and usability. Light on the wrist and water-resistant to 100 meters, it gives high watchmaking the signature character of a Luminor.

The Panerai Tourbillon

Among watchmaking’s most advanced complications, Panerai’s tourbillon cage rotates on a vertical axis, perpendicular to that of the balance, completing a rotation every 30 seconds rather than the standard 60 seconds. This historically patented construction is conceived to compensate more effectively for positional variations caused by gravity.

P.2005/T

The calibre, open to view

The hand-wound P.2005/T brings together three patented solutions: a 3 Days power reserve indicator, GMT Traveler, and 24-hour indication. The 'T' in P.2005/T signifies Titanium, the material used for the calibre's components, contributing to its remarkable lightness and performance. Blue titanium bridges nod to Panerai’s underwater origins, while orange hands identify key functions, echoing maritime buoys. Its wheel design takes cues from boats, while a grid within the movement recalls net barriers crossed by Italian Navy frogmen.

Big presence, light feel

At 47mm, the Grade 5 titanium Luminor case retains its defining presence while weighing approximately 105 grams. Brushed and polished surfaces frame - for the first time on this Panerai tourbillon - a domed sapphire crystal, inspired by the Maison’s 1960s constructions. Its curved profile magnifies the numerals as the angle changes and opens a dynamic view onto the movement.

100-meter water resistance

High complication underwater

Water resistance to 10 BAR (~100 meters) brings Panerai’s performance logic into a high complication. Few tourbillon timepieces achieve this level of water resistance, a testament to its robust capabilities. At the Laboratorio di Idee, each case undergoes pressure testing that exceeds the guaranteed rating by 25%, measuring deformation and sealing integrity under load.

Two ways to wear it

Precious alligator strap

An alligator-strap in deep blue lends the Luminor Tourbillon a refined finish, while a second blue rubber strap offers a more active option. Both are secured by a titanium BDR adjustable buckle, designed for a precise, comfortable fit.
